Let us tell you a bit about what happens when you use our Google Class import feature.
When you click on the 'import students from Google classroom' link we’ll retrieve your student names and info from Google and list them in a Storybird class. You can then use this info to send email invitations to your students. Please make sure your students’ email permissions allow them to receive these invitations.
Once a student clicks on the invitation they will be prompted to create a Storybird account. All student accounts require an email address (for ages 12 and under a parental email is required). An activation email will be sent to the address supplied, and once it's responded to the student account will become active, and they will be able to join your class.
Keep in mind that we do not automatically create accounts for these students when you use the import feature as only the user (student) can create the actual account - importing from Google helps you to send invitations, and keep track of who's activated an account.
